Despite of dominating the flagship smartphones sector, Samsung has been suffering great loss in the mid-range and high-end smartphones market, due to the cheaper alternatives by Chinese manufacturers. This year, Samsung has tried hard to reclaim its sales by introducing the Galaxy A series. Introducing the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7, back in December, 2014, Samsung made a great effort to reclaim its sales. This year, in August, Samsung released the Galaxy A8, which is another beautiful addition to the Galaxy A series.

Design is the forte of the Galaxy A8. The Galaxy A8 features the same thin and lightweight ergonomics as the other devices in the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A8 is one of the slimmest phones around, measuring only 5.9mm in thickness. The Galaxy A8 gives an exceptional and premium feel in hand due to the metallic build and slim design. Though, the device is quite big, it only weighs 151g, which is quite low considering the size of the device. The Galaxy A8 also features a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home key.

On the hardware front, the Galaxy A8 boasts an enormous 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display running at a Full HD 1080p resolution. Moreover, the front panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Galaxy A8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset that features a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and 1.3GHz, paired with an Adreno 405 GPU. The Galaxy A8 features 32GB expandable storage along with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy A8 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with a wide aperture lens featuring Autofocus and LED flash. The phone also features a 5-megapixel front camera. The phone is currently running on Android v5.1 Lollipop, and is expected to be upgraded to Marshmallow in Q2 2016.

On the whole, the Galaxy A8 is a beautifully designed device with exceptional performance. The off-contract retail price of the Galaxy A8 is around 510 USD. Galaxy A8 Samsung mobile price in Pakistan is around 51,999 PKR.
